Some time last year I mentioned my new discovery of this brand, Creme de La Mer. I was very excited to start using the products as I’d always wondered if they would be great, and with the higher price point, if they were indeed worth it. I’ve been using them for a couple of months now, and a few of their products have become staples in my beauty wardrobe.
The name Creme de La Mer translates to “Cream of the Sea”, and the Miracle Broth, which I later learned, is the foundation of the brand, and is found in most of their products. It was formulated by Dr. Huber, who combined nutrient-rich sea kelp, other natural ingredients and light and sound technologies to intensify the product.
I’ve had a real love affair with La Mer, and thought it was about time I shared it.
The Cleansing Foam, 125ml, £65 {UK Link | Int. Link}
I apply this over my damp face, and gently massage in circular motions to form a foam and then rinse off using warm water. It literally leaves my skin feeling clean, and although a little dry, it removes quite a lot of dirt and excess oil from the skin. It’s a great cleanser to use in the morning, especially if you want that refreshed feel, plus it has a welcoming scent, one you won’t get tired of.
Price: 4/5.
It really is worth the money as it cleanses very well.
Packaging: 3/5.
No fuss screw cover is great, however squeezy tube means less control over product amount. Perhaps a version with a pump would reduce waste.
Repurchase: Yes.
Overall: 4/5.

The Tonic, 200ml, £65 {UK Link | Int. Link}
Never have I used a toner quite like this. It combines the extra cleansing qualities of removing residue from previous cleansing, and also does a great job of adding moisture that is lost, back into the skin. A little on a cotton pad swept over the face and neck is all you need. My skin loves it.
Price: 5/5.
Worth every penny.
Packaging: 5/5.
Minimal bottle with easy screw cap. The Tonic’s colour is like liquid rose gold…certainly luxurious.
Repurchase: Yes.
Overall: 5/5.

The Eye Concentrate, 15ml, £138 {UK Link | Int. Link}
A small amount of the eye concentrate swept around the eye using the metal applicator that comes with it gives a cooling feel, and moisturises the area very well. This step isn’t completely necessary everyday, however, if you do suffer from dark circles or puffiness, it’s great to use as a treatment for the eye area!
Price: 3/5.
A tad expensive, but a good product nonetheless.
Packaging: 4/5.
The Metal Applicator gets this!
Repurchase: Yes.
Overall: 3.5/5.

The Moisturizing Soft Cream, 30ml, £108 {UK Link | Int. Link}
LaMer have 3 different consistencies of the cream: the gel, the soft cream and the rich cream, which are tailored for each individual’s skin needs. I opted for the soft cream as my skin is normal, but if you have oiler skin the gel might be better for you, and if you have dryer skin the rich cream might be better.
I warm up the soft cream using my fingers, this released the Miracle Broth, then I apply it onto my skin by patting it. Afterwards my skin looks so refreshed and supple! Most times I don’t even want to apply any makeup!
Price: 4/5.
Worth it!
Packaging: 5/5.
Minimal, screw cover. Comes with an applicator that’s easy to use.
Repurchase: Yes.
Overall: 5/5.

Throughout the day, during various activities my skin needs hydration, and I’ve found that this a quick fix and instant lift! It has also become a travel bag must have.

A little pricey, but I can’t deny that its extremely refreshing and hydrating.
Packaging: 5/5.
Perfect.
Repurchase: Yes.
Overall: 4.5/5.

The Reparative Skin Tint, 40ml, £65 {UK Link | Int. Link}
I was really looking forward to trying this after having such a good run with the skincare, and although I loved the consistency of the product, I do think it would have worked out great if the range of shades were extensive enough to have a play around mixing and shade matching to find my shade. Hopefully that’s all in the works.
Price: 2/5.
Packaging: 3/5.
Repurchase: No. (Not until the shade range is extensive.)
Overall: 2.5/5.
